OMAH Seeking Volunteers for Board of Directors 2020-2021
The Orillia Museum of Art & History (OMAH) acts as the anchor for the significant and growing arts, local-history and cultural community in Orillia and surrounding area. The museum creates exhibits and programs that inspire the community to explore, experience and engage with art, local history and culture, as well support Orillia’s growing arts community by providing facilities for workshops, education, professional development in addition to providing grants, scholarships, bursaries and prizes to assist study and recognize merit in the arts and history.
OMAH is independent non-profit corporation and registered charity governed by a volunteer board. We are currently seeking individuals interested in being nominated for election as a director at our June 11, 2020 annual general meeting. In addition to an interest in our mandate, board members bring a variety of diverse skills together representative of the community in Orillia and surrounding townships. In particular, at this time we are seeking directors with prior volunteer leadership experience or those with a legal or financial background.
