Lunch & Learn: Fraktur Folk Art

Join OMAH’s own Samantha Bogart to learn about Fraktur Folk Art. Fraktur is a highly artistic and elaborate illuminated folk art created by the Canadian Mennonite settlers between 1740 and 1860. Drawn in ink and watercolour, Fraktur means ‘broken script’, named for its unique calligraphy style. Learn about this distinctive art form and try your hand at Fraktur Drawing!
Lunch & Learn is a monthly series of talks and hands-on making.  Come and learn with us, this is a fun and casual program with the promise of a few lighthearted moments and a great lunch. Beginners welcome! 
Space is limited, please register early.
Lunch will be catered and include a sandwich, salad, dessert. Please specify if a vegetarian meal is required. Lunch is prepared off-site; we cannot guarantee this is a nut or gluten-free facility.
