The Orillia Museum of Art & History (OMAH) is excited to introduce our two newest additions to our team. Emily Dilecce (left), Collections Coordinator, and Samantha Bogart (right), Visitor Experiences Coordinator are excited to bring their ideas to our museum and gallery.
"My name is Emily and I am the new contract collections coordinator at OMAH. You may have seen me around the museum before as I have worked as a volunteer, summer student and visitor experiences. I am a recent honours gradate from Lakehead University with a focus in Anthropology and History. Orillia has become my home over the past four years and I feel honoured to work for an institution that highlights the history and creativity of this beautiful city. I look forward to working with OMAH’s collection and strive to showcase our artifacts in a fresh perspective. With the help of a team of passionate volunteers, we will be dedicated to making our collection more accessible to the public through our research room, as well as growing our digitized collection database. "Hi! I’m Samantha, the new Visitors Experiences Coordinator. I come from a history background with most of that experience in living history, programing and interpretation. I’ve recently moved back north from Southern Ontario where I was working in the Kitchener- Waterloo. Being able to continue my love of history closer to home is a dream come true. I am excited to join the team here at OMAH, learn new skills and grow as an individual. With that I am also eager to connect with local artisans, volunteers and visitors to make their experiences at OMAH is memorable. Thank you for welcoming into the community. "
