Thank You To Our Summer Interns!

The Orillia Museum of Art & History (OMAH) would like to extend its gratitude and acknowledgement to our three summer interns. Our interns worked hard this summer and gained meaningful work experience at our museum.

Melissa Tralla, our Digitization Assistant, helped out with all things exhibition and collection related this summer. She learned to install artwork in galleries, how to put up wall vinyl, and did research for upcoming exhibitions. She worked hard on digitizing our collection and ensuring everything was safe and secure. Visitors might recognize Melissa from her excellent and impromptu basement tours she gave to anyone who requested one. Our research department volunteers enjoyed getting to know Melissa this summer.

Payton Hauck and Melissa Tabor, our Program Assistants, spent the summer immersed in summer camps and doing activities at outreach events! Payton and Melissa worked as a team this summer to plan exciting and engaging children’s activities. They spent 9 weeks sparking the love of art in all of our campers and countless hours cleaning and planning. Through the summer, Payton and Melissa brought the activities outdoors at community events such as Street’s Alive, Mariposa Folk Festival, Rama Pow Wow, and Starry Night. Our campers really enjoyed spending their summers creating with Payton and Melissa!

The Orillia Museum of Art & History would like to thank Young Canada Works and Youth Quest for providing funding for our incredible summer interns.
