Drawing Attention

A plein air artwork is one that was made outside, on location, from real life.  En plein air literally means “in the open air.”  The concept is simple: you work from life to capture the immediate light and color. This often means painting quickly, because the light changes drastically within two hours. Join Gary Blundell and Victoria Ward of Project Voyager, on this full-day En Plein Air experience. As a group you'll enjoy the great outdoors, feed off each other's enthusiasm for plein air painting and learn a few techniques along the way.

At two specially chosen locations, Gary and Victoria will draw attention to both natural beauty and the impact of industry on the landscape. Each location uniquely captures the push and pull between human encroachment on wildlife and the destructive forces of the natural world.
