Send a Child to Camp!

Summer camps are a great environment for children to learn, grow, and have fun. It is an opportunity to meet other children with shared interests and create long term friendships. The Orillia Museum of Art & History provides 9 weeks of art camp, filled to the brim with creativity and fun. Young artists are given the chance to work with professional instructors and learn new techniques. Camps encourage children and youth to be co-operative, caring, respectful, independent, try new things, and gain self confidence, while having fun.

The Orillia Museum of Art & History has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orillia and District to provide the camp experiences for children in need.

During the month of June, OMAH participated in the Great Canadian Giving Challenge, hosted by Canadahelps.org. We had decided that the majority of the funds raised in June would go towards sending children in need to summer camp. Thanks to generous donations from the patrons and friends of OMAH, we are excited to announce that we will be sending 9 children to our camp this summer at no cost to their families!

If you’d like to support OMAH through our education programs or collections and research, you can direct your funds.  Follow the link to donate today https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/the-orillia-museum-of-art-history/
