A Forest of Generosity

OMAH kicked off the festive season with Festival of Trees this past Saturday. We had the generous donation of hardboard from Home Hardware for over 90 artists to create just over 100 original works of art. We are truly thankful for the talent and creativity from the participating artists. 75 works went to good homes and helped the museum raise $5000 towards community programmes.
Thank you so much to the generosity of:
- OC Emporium Inc. , one of downtown Orillia’s newest merchants selling home décor, candles, furniture and leather goods.
- Jill Dunlop, MPP Simcoe North
- Doug Downey, MPP Barrie Springwater Oro-Medonte
- Adam Ross, Realtor, Keeping It Real with Century 21 B.J. Roth Realty Ltd., Brokerage.
- Home Hardware
- DJ in Muskoka, who spun some groovy tunes for the party
- Horseshoe Valley Brewery, who has joined us at our events in the past
- Vineland Estates Winery, who provided a lovely selection of wines selected by Sommelier Andre Derrick who will return to the 2019 Mariposa Gala (Join us on Saturday April 27)
- Mariposa Market, who provided festive snacks and treats.
Finally, a big thank you to all of our invaluable volunteers for supporting the event.
If you would like to help us support our community programs, by keeping costs low
and accessible, you can still purchase a tree in our OMAH Shop until Christmas!
