Join Don Philip and buy a Sir Sam’s Society Membership!

OMAH is featuring members, volunteers, donors, volunteers, and artists on the blog. This post's feature is Don Philips. Don is a member of OMAH's Sir Sam Society membership.

Don has been a member at the Orillia Museum of Art & History since 2016. He had recently moved permanently to Orillia and was looking for a way to contribute to the community. Don wanted to support something that fit his interests as well. He became active with OMAH as a volunteer, member, and board member. Don purchased a Sir Sam's Society membership for 2017/2018, and again for the 2018/2019 season. Sir Sam's Society is a relatively new membership at OMAH, starting in 2017. The membership includes special events throughout the year and the ability to bring home one of the special art pieces on loan for a year. Don's favourite part of being a member at OMAH is the professionalism with which the museum is run. "The staff are both diligent in preparing new exhibits, and very creative in finding relevant themes that are of interest to the local community as well as other visitors." Purchasing a membership helps to fund research and exhibitions at the museum.

Last year, Don Philip took home "2 Islands" by Jessalyn Forsythe. What will he take home this year?
