What happened to the red canoe?

If you had a chance to look up at the ceiling of the Mulcahy Family Gallery during Dave Beckett's Retrospective this past summer you would have seen a red 14' Adirondak canoe suspended from the ceiling. Designed and built by Paluski Boats of Lakefield, ON, the canoe was part of the design of the exhibition. The red canoe is an iconic subject matter in many of Dave Beckett's paintings. OMAH's visitor experiences team thought it would be fun to give away the canoe through a draw with names of people who had purchased any of Dave Beckett's paintings or prints (priced over $100).
OMAH wants to congratulate Gaile Webb, who is not only the proud owner of Dave Beckett's, Georgian Retreat (part of a suite of small paintings of the surround Orillia area), but the canoe as well.
