Research Your Ancestry with OMAH

Ancestry.ca is now available at OMAH!

Genealogy has always been one of the key ways of connecting to our past and the Orillia Museum of Art & History wants to help you connect with yours. Our Lake Country Rotary Research Room continues to refine itself and grow as a resource for local historical researchers. Our dedicated team of volunteers are happy to meet with visitors looking to do some in-depth searching for local and family history.

Researchers at OMAH are now able to access ancestry.ca's global library of information of family records. It is Canada's leading family history site with over 129 million searchable records.

If you've always wondered where your roots are and are looking to trace back that family tree, consider making an appointment to OMAH's Research Room.

Please feel free to contact Registrar Hope McGilly at 705-326-2159 or collections@orilliamuseum.org to make an appointment.
