Spring Specials: Fashion, Music & More!
As the snow finally melts away, we are leaping into spring with unique activies and events at OMAH. We're energized and revitalized to offer new as well as fan-favourite programs with some special events along the way. Without further ado, let's see what you can get involved with this season.
Saturday, April 18th, 2-4pm
Join local singer/songwriter Anne Walker in an evening performance of 14 original songs accompanied by stories, vintage photographs, and historical documents commemorating the historical importance of rural Women's Institutes. In partnership with the International Women's Day Art Show, OMAH is proud to present this "multi-media docu-musical".
Tickets are $15 available at OMAH.
Sunday, April 19th, 2-4pm
It's time to get whimsical! Don your own creative hat or fascinator and enjoy an afternoon of tea, sandwhiches and sweets sharing inspirations. A Fashion Show featuring models from SOMNIATIS will create a "walk down memory lane" showcasing fashions from the last century. Owner of Studio Eleven, Ruth Germain, will give a talk on the process of clothing manufacturing since it left Canada and moved to China. We can't wait to see everyone's creative ideas!
Tickets are $20, available at OMAH & Studio Eleven Orillia.
Sunday, April 26, 3-4pm
With a successful winter season of Music in the Museum, we are so pleased to have Chamber Music Orillia's Children's Choir to close out the season. Held right after our Sunday Family Fun Drop In, these cushion concerts encourage families to be involved with the music experience. Each concert offers opportunities for kids (and adults!) to move to the music, along with educational opportunities.
Admission is by Donation.
It's a Fashion Show take over at OMAH! Join us for an evening of wearable art by local Orillia artists. A fashion show will take place in our snd floor Upper & Carmichael Galleries, vendors & silent auction in The Mulcahy Gallery, and live photo shoot in our Dorothy Macdonald Creative Studio.
Tickets are $20 for youth, $35 for adults
