25th Annual International Women’s Day Art Show: LIFE LINES
25th Annual International Women’s Day Art Show
Theme: LIFE LINES
Since its inception in 1997, this art show has inspired hundreds of women artists to participate in highly dynamic exhibitions, exploring a wide range of media and themes.
In celebration of International Women’s Day (March 8), the show’s goal is to encourage women to express themselves artistically in a themed group exhibit, which is not juried and therefore inclusive.
The spirit if the exhibition is one of affirmation and co-operation.
The female artists participating in this year’s show come from diverse backgrounds, are of all ages (teenage and up) and levels of artistic experience. Most of the artists live in the region, although the show is open to any female artist.
A wide range of media is presented in this exhibit including works in oil, acrylic and watercolour, as well as mixed media, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, glass, textile and fibre arts.
This year, over 100 artists are sharing their art and stories, interpreting the theme “Life Lines”.
