Watercolour Workshop En Plein Air with Juliana Hawke
Tuesday, November 3, 11am-3pm
A plein air artwork is one that was made outside, on location, from real life. En plein air literally means “in the open air.” The concept is simple: you work from life to capture the immediate light and colour. This often means painting quickly, because the light changes drastically over time. Join Juliana Hawke, on this half-day En Plein Air experience. As a group you'll enjoy the beautiful Stephen Leacock Museum property, feed off each other's enthusiasm for plein air painting and learn a few techniques along the way. This program is offered in partnership with the Stephen Leacock Museum.
Juliana will talk about Franklin Carmichael’s work and his watercolour technique, the perils of painting outside (!) and give some instruction before participants tackle their own masterpieces.
Box Lunch Included. We can accommodate vegetarian and gluten free. Please specify if either are required.
