Storytelling can take you anywhere

For Our First Online Side By Each Story Circle
on May 31st, Storytelling Orillia and the Orillia Museum of Art & History present:
OUR NEW STORYWritten by Tim Greenwood

We live in a charged and sacred moment

Everything is turned upside down

Every action can affect and impact and change

The course of Life of another

And ourselves

Our future is a mysterious egg we cradle in our hands waiting to hatch

We are all brothers and sisters and connected by an electrified web

The least amongst us now the most important

The grocery store cashier, the stocker, the pet store clerk

The people caring for our grandparents and elders

Now fearless and needed warriors on the frontlines

We are all re-making the World

We are doing this Sacred Work together

And a New Story is being born

Tim Greenwood will be our host & guide.
A Story Circle via ZOOM, on May 31st starting at 2pm

As we evolve and adapt to a new way of living, Storytelling Orillia decided to test the waters, and dip our toe into the world of Zoom meetings. Please join us on Sunday, May 31st from 2-4 p.m., from the comfort of your own home. As always, you are welcome to share any story, or simply listen. Since this is a new experience for many of us, you could aim for a story about 5 minutes in length. Often we can travel around the circle a second time, should folks have another tale to tell.

Tim Greenwood will lead us on this new journey as we were inspired by the poem he wrote above. Tim hails from Newmarket and has been making the drive up to Orillia to join the Storytelling Orillia Circle for about 6 years. He has been telling stories to family, friends, at festivals and as part of community storytelling groups for the past 25 years. He is happily married with four teenage children and when he is not telling stories or writing he is busy working as a youth employment counselor or practising the Wim Hof Method.

To Join Our Virtual Circle:  Please email storytelling.orillia@gmail.com to let us know you would like to participate and we will write back with a link and instructions. We'll open the meeting at 1:30 p.m. so you have time to try the system, if you wish. Tim will start the stories at 2.
