A Legendary Kitchen Party - for Canadian Storytelling Day

November 29, 2-4 p.m., on Zoom

Storytelling Orillia is issuing a friendly invitation to share some fun and dispel the covid blues with A Legendary Kitchen Party in celebration of Canadian Storytelling Day. We'll meet on the afternoon of November 29, from 2-4 p.m. on a virtual platform.

The theme of this year's nationally celebrated event is Land of Legends, Stories We Share. Storytelling Orillia is choosing a tried-and-true Canadian format -- the kitchen party -- as a way to bring together stories and music and make the best of the situation we find ourselves in.

Guest teller Betty Bennett from Norwood, Ontario, the current chair of Storytellers of Canada's Canadian Storytelling Night committee, will lead off the stories with a tale from PEI. She'll be joined by a generous handful of Storytelling Orillia tellers with their own legends to impart.

Sharon Langfield and Peter Cox are the musicians, with a great line-up of Canadian songs that tell stories, too, and help us travel across the country on Zoom.
