2017 Festival of Banners: Celebrating 10 Years of Public Art
The Orillia Museum of Art & History’s (OMAH) Festival of Banners has become a unique project that celebrates public art and community spirit. Since its inception in 2007 by Leslie Fournier, the heart of the festival has always been to enhance and beautify the core of our city in the most creative and appealing way possible.
This year, OMAH's Festival of Banners will be celebrating its 10th anniversary by partnering with Streets Alive! to produce 75 curated banners as part of Orillia’s 150th and Canada’s 150th anniversaries. These banners will reflect the Streets Alive! Maple Masterpieces and will launch alongside them on Saturday, June 17.
